Business Class Ticket
is it worth travelling by business class in emirates?
I am thinkg of flying by business class from manchester to dubai. I already have bought the ticket, but bought an economy class ticket.For an extra 400 pounds i can fly business class just from manchester to dubai. The flight is 7 hours long. I am just wondering if it is worth the money?
Has anyone travelled by business class in emirates? If so was it worth the money?
I have flown this exact route to Dubai with Emerates and it was brilliant.
To start with Emerates is recognised as being the best business class, the seats are really big with electric controls so you can just sleep all the way of you want to.
However, you'll be missing so much!
You have a glass of champagne in your hand while your still on the tarmac, a menu to choose from, amazing food and it's comes non stop through the flight.
For example, besides your main meal they'll bring you snacks, hor's derves, fruit, cakes, etc, etc, this is literally constant waitress service and you can get anything at any time.
You'll eat from real plates with real cutlery, yes, metal knives and forks so let's hope the terrorists don't think of this!
You have your own screen with 300 films to watch when you want to, it's on demend just for you so you can be watching the same film as your travel partner but your could be running10 minutes after him, pause it when you want to, etc.
There's also a phone in the chair if you want to call someone at home.
There's so much more, your holiday truely starts when you get on the plane and to be honest, it really is THE only way to travel.
Now, your question asked if it's 'worth' it and that's a very difficult question to answer.
Trying to justify the huge amount your paying extra is almost impossible but when it makes an long and boring flight a great experience then who cares?

This same thinking can be used with the online travel sites such as Expedia and Travelocity, These sites have deals in place with the airlines which allows them to buy up large blocks of tickets for discounted prices, which they can pass on to you. Much like the airlines databases these websites update their ticketing data around midnight and any deals or discounts are first come first serve.
Another place to look for cheap business class tickets are the less well known airlines. India Air and Iceland Air both have international flights and in many cases are able to offer savings up to 80% less then the more well known major carriers.
If you have been accumulating frequent flier miles and get enough of them you can cash those in and get a seat upgrade. If you can get what is known as an elite status on those miles this will also help you upgrade to business class. Just be sure to use your miles efficiently as possible.
