Business At Home Opportunities
Do you agree with answers on business opportunities/work at home links on career questions?
I've noticed on many questions, it seems as if certain people cannot resist providing a work at home or business opportunity that appears suspicious, especially on questions that have nothing to do with looking for a work at home or internet opportunity. Especially on questions relating to interviews, etc, where those answers have nothing to do with looking for those types of opportunities.
How do you feel about answers like that?
If you could, respond to them directly, what would you say?
LOL, I see that as of right now, 2 of the answers are proving my point that they do not actually read the additional details.
I think these are people who might get paid for each hit they get from providing these ads. I consider them advertisements. I don't think they actually read the questions instead they just paste it on each and every question.
They really have no place on an interview question, but can not be reported because they are giving the individual another direction for employment prospects.
I have nothing really to say to them, they wouldn't read it anyway. It's an on going problem with answers that I see. Free advertising. Good point though, I thought I was alone in thinking they are out of place.
The Income Potential Of A Web Business At Home
If you spend any time online at all you will have seen an endless stream of “web business at home” opportunities. As you can imagine, not all of these opportunities are equal. There are ways to narrow the field by not only weeding out the scams, but also by picking the opportunities that meet your income goals.
To Scam or Not to Scam
This question, paraphrased though it might be, is a serious one. Every time someone starts up an Internet venture they make a choice; either they will provide a legitimate income opportunity for others or they will use the Web to make a quick, dishonest buck for themselves before they disappear.
There are certain traits you should watch for when trying to spot a scam.
1. Are you being asked for a great deal of money up front? Chances are it is not an honest opportunity. The goal is to get your money before you see anything significant. Afterwards, good luck getting your cash back.
2. Do you find many negative comments about the company online? People use the web to complain. Frequently you can find out which companies are scamming people by simply entering their name in a Google search. A history of trouble is a bad sign.
3. How long has the company been in business? While you aren’t looking for a 10 year history when it comes to Internet firms, you want to see at least 3-5 years. The longer a company is in business, the more likely it is to be a legitimate venture.
Mad Money or Full Income
Some people start an online company just to bring in some extra spending cash. If this is your goal then there are many opportunities that will provide a few hundred dollars a month. MLM opportunities can help you net that kind of money with many established products. Purchasing things at estate sales and selling them on an auction site is another good way to make some spending cash.
If you want to be able to quit your job and work full time online from your home, you need to consider other choices. Full time telecommuting options like working as a customer representative at a call center, Top Tier direct sales companies, and full business ownership are your best bets. Each works a bit differently.
Working as a customer service rep involves having a regular, uninterrupted time each day to answer calls and solve problems. Top Tier sales require a willingness to sell a top notch product to others with the belief that your product will improve their lives. Creating your own business means finding a niche, marketing and keeping ahead of the competitions.
Of course there are many other choices as well; these are just a few popular ones.
The Future’s so Bright…
No matter which options you choose, expect to have to put in some effort. The more you are willing to work, the greater your passion for your new pursuit, the larger the financial rewards you stand to gain. Yes, success takes hard work, even online, but for those who have the entrepreneurial spirit, the field is wide open.
