Small Home Businesses

Small Home Businesses
How do I sell a small home-based business myself?

What is the best way to sell a small business based on the home itself? I think it may be too small to go through a business broker so not sure what the best way to market or advertise the sale of the company. Also, what is a good way to value a business with very few assets and no debt. Sales of about $ 13,500 a year for work on time partially from home.

I would try a local newspaper, and the valuation of Craigslist should be based on customer retention and growth. If you is selling a business to support their clients without much work, then you should rate it 1.5-2.5 x annual income, and that some growth of the person who buys it can be obtained from your investment back in about 1-2 years and be profitable thereafter. If your business requires more work to retain customers or clients simply not stay that long, no matter what you do, then you should be happy to get 1.0 x annual income.
