I sold a computer online for $ 600. Payment order is going to be safe?
I sold my Dell computer on Craigslist for $ 600. The to-be buyer said it would pay through a money order and pay shipping to East Chicago, Indiana (exact words). I live in Atlanta. Should I trust him? I have asked for an order or Paypal USPS money but he has not responded yet (just did five minutes ago.) Should I trust him, and owe money to clear?
Not necessarily. fake money orders can be sent. If he was to leave the country, I'd say the odds were that it would be false. At home, you are probably more likely to be fine, but can not be sure. You can check with the post office and see if you can verify and collect the money order. If they can, I send the computer until I can ensure that your bank has cleared. Do not worry it means. But so many scammers around who simply can not be sure.
