How To Sell Stuff Online
How do I sell stuff online?
Can I use ebay? cause I might be underage.. I'm a teen.
I just wanna sell some random stuff, should I just make my own website? if so, how do I?
and do I need a credit card? or maybe a paypal account?
and also, anything that I'm NOT supposed to do? [[ whats illegal?]]
thank you so much.
Your best chance of exposure is craigslist, which is just local classified ads for your area. I don't think there is an age limit, but could be wrong. I believe eBay requires you to be 18. When I joined, there was no requirement for a credit card or bank account, but PayPal does have an age requirement. And since many, many buyers like to use PayPal, you would have trouble selling without it.
I'm guessing you're not thinking of anything questionable, like weapons, drugs, or porn, but if unsure, ask your parents. Even homemade food technically might have restrictions on it.
Start Selling Stuff Online With Satellite Internet
Have you ever thought about trying to sell some of your stuff online? The Internet is definitely a good place to sell even your most obscure possessions. You are able to reach a much larger market than you could ever reach by simply having a garage sale. And there are a variety of sites to which you can post your items, some of which are free. But if you've been relying on a dial-up connection or the public library's computers, you really need to update your connection in order to be a successful seller. With satellite Internet, you'll get a fast and readily available connection so you can better communicate with buyers and make more money.
First, you'll need to search the satellite providers that cover your area. Unlike a DSL connection, which is only available in some areas, satellite connections are an option even in very remote locations. Installation is simple too, and really does not require any effort on your part. As part of your package you will receive a modem, which allows you to pick up the signal from your recently installed satellite. Even if this is the first time you've had Internet in your home, you'll immediately notice the speed of you satellite Internet connection.
If you are new to selling items online, there are a few things you will need to learn. Perhaps the best place to start is by selling something that isn't too valuable on a free site, such as Craigslist. Using Craigslist usually means that you will have to set up a time to meet the person who is interested in buying the item, but it is a good way nonetheless to test out your online sales skills. The unfortunate thing about many free posting sites is that they are not as secure, so be careful.
The next step is to try selling on a pay to post type of site. Your satellite Internet connection will definitely benefit you at this point, as you will need to spend more time monitoring your online sales. You will also need to upload photos to really attract customers, thus the speed of your connection is vital. You will have to register to be able to post and sell items using sites such as Ebay or Ebid, but doing so is usually free. With most sites, you pay a small fee to post items and a small percentage of your sale goes back to the site as well.
When it comes to being a good seller, remember to treat your buyers as good as you yourself would like to be treated. Make sure that your posts are truthful and accurate, and be sure to charge a fair, competitive price. Also, be sure to upload lots of photos so that buyers can get a good look at what you are selling.
Installing a fast, satellite Internet connection in your home is the first step to becoming a top seller in the online world. After that, you will need to work hard to achieve your goals. Being a successful seller requires a great amount of time and dedication, but if you do business right, you'll be making money in no time!
