Which MacBook Pro and Apple Desktop to purchase?
I am making the switch after 3 years of thinking about it.
I plan to purchase a Apple Desktop and MacBook Pro.
Here is what I will use them for: Large number crunching on spreadsheets and building data bases, developing web pages (sites), stock analysis, work with pictures and vacation movies. I want to be able if needed to expand the hardware if needed in case I have to for the new software release from apple. (Jag). When I work on my computers I always have several (10 websites) open at one time.
Here is what I am looking to purchase: which one:
Laptop:
15-inch MacBook Pro/2.33GHz
or
17-inch MacBook Pro/2.33GHz ( I have heard they are having trouble with the 17in???)
Desktop:
24-inch iMac Core 2 Duo/2.16GHz
or
Mac Pro/Quad 2.66GHz Xeon
Can anyone help me on this and give me their advice with if possible specs in detail.

If you want mobility, I'd go with the 15.4 inch MacBook Pro. For the desktop, it's really your call, as both will handle what you want. You'll have greater expandability with the Mac Pro than with the iMac, however, it'll cost much more.
If money isn't an object, go for the Mac Pro.
