Books For Sale Canada
When you are in the UK you do not pay any sales Tax a book of say 10 pounds price tag its 10 pounds what you?
pay in the shop. People in Canada dont believe me. So if anyone knows of any links explaining this. please add them for me. So I can show my Friends here that if book costs 10 pounds its 10 pounds all you pay.
Let me put it this way my Father owns a Bookshop. If you buy a book with the price tag of say a 100 pounds that is all you pay. When I lived in UK I bought a Computer for 650 pounds price tag that was all I paid. I go to a shop in Canada buy a book say $20 & pay a 15% tax charge on top of $20
Thats is what I am trying to put accross.
Instead of sales tax, we pay VAT ("value added tax") on most items. The part of the total cost that is VAT is not usually displayed. The link will explain.
