Network Marketing Success
Has anyone had success with Usana network marketing?

I live in Australia and have been introduced to Usana (network marketing) and just wondered if anyone has done this and had success with it? Thanks

I am not going to lie to you about my true feelings when it comes to USANA. I think it is a terrible business to become involved in and is run by a corrupt group of people.

To answer your question would depend on what you mean by success. If you are referring to USANA as a money making oportunity there are a number who have had success with USANA but it comes at the cost of others failing. USANA isn't a "retail" business, it's a "recruitment" business. Money is made by signing up new members like you would see in a pyramid scheme. Only a tiny minority on top of the pyramid actually sees a profit.

Every person involved who wants to see a return for signing up people has to meet a sales quota every four weeks in order to remain eligible to receive a return. However, if the quota is not reached, the distributor will lose all the points that have accumulated but not yet been paid on. When you subtract these required purchases you'll see that almost everyone is operating at a lose.

The sale of their products to people outside the company are not common because they cost so much. I'm including sources for you to look at.

Network Marketing Success: Do You Understand Your Compensation Plan?

A good compensation plan is essential to maximize your Network Marketing success. When I joined my first Network Marketing company, I was told, "Don't worry about understanding the compensation plan. It's too difficult to understand an explain...but don't worry, the company knows how to calculate the amount of your compensation check." I naively went along with it, because I honestly didn't have a clue about Network Marketing compensation plans.

After realizing that the company I joined wasn't all I was promised, I decided to move on. And this time I was a little more informed so I could make a good choice about the company and compensation plan I chose. Here is an overview of some of the most common Network Marketing compensation plans.

Unilevel Plan. This plan focuses on building an organization wide rather than deep. Commissions are paid based on how many levels away the person buying the product is from you with no volume limits. Instead, you are limited to receiving commissions for a specific number of levels.

Matrix Plan. This plan is similar to a Unilevel Plan, except that the number of distributors that can be placed on the first level is limited. For example, the number of people who can be placed on the first level may be limited to 3. That means that those 3 people are also limited to 3 on their fist level, making the maximum on the second level 9. Once all of the spots in the matrix are gone, a distributor can start a new matrix.

Binary Plan. A binary plan allows a distributor to have only two distributors in their frontline. Additional people sponsored are placed under the initial two distributors. In order to maximize commissions in a binary plan, both legs must be balanced as commissions are generally paid based on the volume of the weakest leg.

Breakaway Plan. In breakaway plans, members of your downline work to meet certain criteria in order to "break away" and start their own group. Once the team member breaks away, you no longer receive commissions from the sales volume of that leg, but most breakaway compensation plans have some sort of bonus commission to compensate for the leg that breaks away.

Hybrid Plans. Many Network Marketing compensation plans are hybrid plans, or plans that combine aspects of various compensation plans.
